When to Schedule Your Child’s First Visit

We recommend bringing your child in for a dental visit by the age of two. At this age, many of their teeth have grown and this is a wonderful opportunity for them to build pleasant dental memories at a young age. Our team will go the extra mile to help your child feel comfortable throughout each and every visit. During your child’s first visit, we will not do anything they aren’t ready for and our team will work to build a good relationship with your child so they won’t dread their dental check-ups. If your child is older and has never seen a dentist, it’s never too late to begin their dental care. We invite children and teens of all ages to receive the dental care they need for their smile! At a regular office visit, we will examine their smile, discuss any dental concerns and answer any questions you may have.

Protect & Strengthen Your Child’s Smile

Caring for their dental health from a young age can lay the foundation for a healthy smile. If your child’s primary teeth are severely decayed or fall out too soon, it can affect their adult teeth as they grow. As your child visits their dentist regularly, treatments such as dental sealants and fluoride can help to strengthen and protect their smile from decay. Dental sealants are used to coat the back molars and create a protective sealant over the hard-to-reach areas of the teeth. Once applied, dental sealants should last for several years. Fluoride treatments are a fast and simple treatment recommended during dental check-ups to strengthen the tooth enamel.
